Like their scratch games, working on the Minnesota Lottery was a lot of fun. And while each campaign promoted a single game they all shared a sense of creativity and play. Here are a few of campaigns I’m most fond of.

Monopoly
This is one of Minnesota Lottery’s most popular games. The prizes are big and the scratch play is familiar. We gave it a personal twist by showing where all the winnings come from: Mr. Monopoly’s personal piggy bank.
As if giving away all of Mr. Monopoly’s money wasn’t enough, we took out classified ads to sell his car and homes, too.
$2 Billion Back
Most of the proceeds from the Minnesota Lottery go to environmental initiatives. It’s pretty awesome. To celebrate passing the $2 billion mark we created a website to announce the milestone and filled it with content about the environmental projects and videos featuring some of the “critters” who benefit from them. We even got a couple Minnesota Twins legends to join in.
We created a lot of content. Too much for to me ask you to look at, but here are three to give you a taste of the variety.

Imagine winning $50,000 a year for life. Imagine all the the things you could buy and places you could go. You’d never want it to end. And with that kind of money, it wouldn’t have to.
